How the work visa usually works
Singapore's Ministry of Manpower (MOM) issues work passes on the employer's application: the Work Permit for most construction, manufacturing, marine and service jobs, the S Pass for mid-skilled roles and the Employment Pass for professionals. You should receive an In-Principle Approval letter before you travel. Employers can check a pass on MOM's website.
